Terms & Conditions
Every courtroom has rules. Ours are considerably friendlier than most.
Thank you for visiting Dirty Rotten Law.
These Terms & Conditions explain how our website works, how you can buy our products, and what both you and we can reasonably expect from each other. They are intended to be fair, straightforward and written in plain English.
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Notice, Delivery Information and Returns & Refunds Policy.
If anything isn’t clear, please get in touch. We’d much rather answer a question now than argue about it later.
1. About Us
Dirty Rotten Law is a trading name of Belvoir Legal Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
Registered Company Number: 17123577
Registered Office: 66 PAUL STREET, LONDON EC2A 4NA
Email: hello@dirtyrottenlaw.com
ICO Registration Number: ZC124012
Throughout these Terms & Conditions, references to “Dirty Rotten Law”, “we”, “our” or “us” mean Belvoir Legal Ltd trading as Dirty Rotten Law.
2. Our Products
Dirty Rotten Law designs clothing, gifts and accessories inspired by the law, the legal profession and courtroom life.
Unless stated otherwise, every item is produced especially for you after your order is placed. We do not generally keep stock sitting on warehouse shelves waiting for someone to buy it.
Because products are made to order:
- colours may vary slightly between your screen and the finished product;
- minor differences in print placement or garment manufacture may occur;
- measurements should always be checked against our Size Guide before ordering.
These variations are normal and do not amount to faults.
3. Placing an Order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the goods you have selected.
Your order is accepted when we send you an Order Confirmation email.
If we are unable to accept your order—for example because a product is unavailable, a pricing error has occurred or payment cannot be authorised—we will notify you promptly and refund any payment already made.
Once production has begun, it may no longer be possible to cancel or amend your order because your item is being manufactured specifically for you.
4. Prices and Payment
All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (£).
Delivery charges are calculated separately and shown during checkout before payment is completed.
We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors. If an obvious pricing mistake has occurred, we will contact you before processing your order.
Payment must be received in full before production begins.
5. Delivery
We aim to dispatch all orders within the estimated times shown on our Delivery Information page.
Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees. Occasionally delays occur because of courier services, severe weather, industrial action or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Further information can be found on our Delivery Information page.
6. Returns and Refunds
Our Returns & Refunds Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
As most products are manufactured to order, we are generally unable to accept returns simply because you have changed your mind or ordered the wrong size.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible and, wherever possible, within 30 days of delivery.
7. Intellectual Property

11. Legal Information and Commentary
Dirty Rotten Law celebrates the law, the legal profession and the occasional absurdity of both.
The articles, blog posts, features, “The Judge”, “Dear Judge” and other editorial content published on this website are provided for general information, education and entertainment only.
Although every effort is made to ensure that legal information is accurate at the time of publication, the law changes, every case depends upon its own facts and no article can take account of an individual’s particular circumstances.
Nothing published on this website constitutes legal advice, creates a solicitor-client or barrister-client relationship, or should be relied upon as a substitute for obtaining advice from an appropriately qualified legal professional.
If you require advice about your own legal situation, you should consult a solicitor, barrister or other suitably qualified adviser.
Any opinions expressed by contributors are their own unless stated otherwise.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where the law prevents us from doing so.
Subject to that, we shall not be responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been foreseen when your order was placed or which arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Our total liability in relation to any order shall not normally exceed the amount paid for that order.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will always appear on this page and will apply from the date it is published.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.

The Judge says:
“The law has enough small print already. We’ve tried to keep ours to the bits that actually matter.”
