Tutto è Bellissimo
As the Pointer Sisters so perfectly sang back in my 80s heyday, “I’m so excited” - that’s how I feel, and that’s because I’m here, you’re here and Tutto è Bellissimo, which is my motto and translates to "Everything is beautiful" or "Everything is wonderful." Either way, it works for me and represents where I am and I trust where you are too. Or at least where you are going. This is a journey, so join me for the ride and I promise not to bore you!
Therapy
Dirty Rotten Law is an ensemble cast of experiences, recollections, anecdotes, comments and analyses of matters concerning the courts and the law. If that sounds like a book you’d think twice about buying, put your concerns aside, since this is not a textbook, it’s a trip with one fundamental objective in mind, and that’s having fun - since a belly laugh is not only cheaper than therapy, it’s altogether better for your soul. And there’s more here than just a T-shirt or two to prove it.
Who are you?

The Law
Though I do enjoy searching through the plethora of true crime shows and podcasts on offer, Dirty Rotten Law is not just about crime, it’s about everything that touches and concerns the law, from the right to protest to Law Kid’s interest (we’ll talk about Law Kid later) in judicial review, commercial and property law, and from Legal Aid to legal tech.
Amazing Legal People
What else do I want to tell you about Dirty Rotten Law? Life in and around the law can be a really tough place. There’s lots of talk about wellbeing nowadays, but I’d be telling less than the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth if I really believed many people in positions of authority actual gave a hoot or two, despite having awards, policies and gongs in place seeking to prove otherwise. But (and this is a big but) despite its often harsh and unforgiving nature, the law and the rule of law is ultimately about the concept of justice. And the people who make each cog of the justice system turn are truly amazing, including so many who give their time for little or nothing in return.
It’s Dirty Rotten Law
For all of you who are involved in and take an interest in the law, you will experience failure and success. Many of you will have experienced the law and justice system’s faults, quirks, frustrations, obstacles, uncertainties and eccentricities. And many of you, despite all these things will - like us - love the law, warts and all, and the craziness that comes with it. To all of you, I send my love and respect.
